Inter-Church Ministries of Erie County is sponsoring a series of monthly dialogues to discover elements of ecumenical development in the local Erie area since Vatican II (1962). These grassroot conversations, though considering the past, will prompt current reflection about the future of ministry in Erie. The dialogues, on the third Friday of the month, will be facilitated by Dr. Aaron Kerr, Asst. Professor of Philosophy at Gannon.

Theme: “What does God require of us? ” (Micah 6: 6-8)
In the words of the prophet, “What does God require of you…but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?”
Inter-Church Ministries of Erie County is sponsoring its Annual Ecumenical Worship Service in celebration of the “Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.” The resource materials for this year’s service were prepared by the Student Christian Movement of India, in consultation with the All India Catholic University Federation and the National Council of Churches in India.
This year’s local celebration will feature:
* “Voices of the Young Church” * Traditional Asian Indian-Inspired Prayer Chant * Drumming and Sharing Peace * Music and Prayers Celebrating Unity
A reception with light refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.

Guest Lecturer: Dr. Marvin A. McMickle, Ph.D.
Theme: “Where Have All the Prophets Gone? Reclaiming Prophetic Preaching in America”
Dr. McMickle is one of the leading African-American clergy in the country, having served since 1987 as Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland. Dr. McMickle is an outstanding preacher, author of 14 books and former faculty member at Ashland Theological Seminary.
